VBAC- Birth Photography Bellingham
I had the honor of being at Tami’s last birth, a successful VBAC after to c-sections. Because she was considered high risk last time, she gave birth down in Seattle. It was an amazingly, long birth of over 30 hours! Tami and her husband were amazing, however, and Abigail came into the world and was welcomed into the arms of her parents.
This time, everything was different. Tami was able to stay up here in Bellingham for the birth. She gave birth in a record 7.5 hours with no epidural. She was so amazing and strong and kept her sense of humor to the very end.
Since Tami is a good friend of mine, I couldn’t resist adding a little something to the dry erase board hanging on the wall…
Carolynn is a good friend and amazing local doula. I have seen her in action a few times, and would hire her in a second if I were to have another baby.
She is knowledgeable, confident and a very calming presence.
Ian was wonderful as labor got harder.
And then, just like that, Odin was born. He let out a few cries…
And then was placed in his Mama’s arms.
He was so bright-eyed and alert.
And then Jess swooped in with coffee and breakfast sandwiches, just when we needed it!
My sixteen year old daughter, Tilly, was able to attend this birth. It makes me so happy she was able to witness such a miracle!
Odin latched right on and nursed like he had been doing it his whole life.
Two of Odin’s older siblings got to come meet him…his sister Abigail had a cough so had to stay home.
And grandpa came. I just loved the contrast between his large, wrinkled hands and Odin’s soft, new baby skin.
Congratulations Tami, Ian, Everett, Isobel and Abigail!
Love it. “And then, just like that, Odin was born.” I wish, lol. Beautiful documentation again, Renee.
I love all of these pictures, Renee, like I always love all the pictures you capture of birth!! But the one of Grandpa holding the baby…wow. So sweet. So powerful.
What a treasure!
Thank you, Davene. That was one of my favorites as well.
So exquisite….these pictures are so raw and beautiful…I couldn’t hold back the tears….so happy and sending many blessings and much love to such a beautiful, powerful family…you all are amazing…so happy for all the Simpsons! Christina
Thank you Christina. I am so glad my images moved you. Tami and Ian are very blessed.
