I love, love, love it when clients book me for maternity, birth and newborn photos. To me, it feels like I am able to complete the story. It feels like the experience comes full circle for me.
As I was editing Katy’s birth photos I realized that a natural pose they had struck just before she went back for her c-section, was nearly identical to one I took at their maternity session. When I showed Katy the two photos side by side, she agreed that we needed to recreate it at her newborn session.
I just love the continuity of these three photos together.
I have hands down, the best job in the world. I get to witness not just babies, but families, being born. I get to travel along with couples as their families grow and expand. I get to capture so many special moments in their journey. Sometimes you don’t see the significance of a photo until after the fact…like when you see these three images grouped together.
I loved spending time with Katy and Bob…and am looking forward to many more sessions with their family in the future. 
See those Snow White decorations on the nursery wall? They hung in Katy’s nursery when she was a baby!
