I have arrived safe and sound in Whangarei, New Zealand. I few here a few days ago, from Bellingham, WA, to be here for my daughter’s birth. Tilly’s baby will be my second grandchild. She is due June 8th, and we are eagerly awaiting his/her arrival.

I know the black umbrella might look like a cute prop, but it was raining throughout our session. It is winter here in Whangarei so the weather is wet, wild, and unpredictable. But since Tilly is so close to her due date, we figured we better go out and do some maternity photos, rain or no rain.

Tilly and Jared have chosen not to find out the sex of their baby ahead of time. Because they don’t know the sex they have nicknamed him/her Kiwi. This also gives Tilly the perfect excuse to buy any and all baby clothes with kiwis on them.

To learn more about Tilly, you can check out her blog The Canadian American Kiwi. She shares stories, recipes, and photos of her life as a young bride in New Zealand.
