Here’s what Victoria’s mom had to say about her precious girl:
Our beautiful daughter Victoria was born December 2011 with Congenital Femoral Deficiency aka PFFD. We did not know that she would be born with a congenital defect. For the past 22 months we have been searching for answers, researching, and reaching out for guidance through this journey we are now.
What is CFD/PFFD? Congenital Femoral Deficiency (also known as PFFD: Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency) – leads to a congenitally short femur with different degrees of a lack of formation of the hip and knee joints.
Since her condition is rare, we are seeking out the best orthopedic surgeon and pioneer in limb lengthening. Dr. Paley. He practices in Florida, we live in Washington. We are willing to travel to get our daughter the best care possible.

Love this series you’re doing! They are all so precious!
Miss Victoria is adorable! I love her as a super hero! 🙂
Oh I love this! Just gorgeous!
Thanks-again Renee. I am up late looking through the photos, I need to order some prints. And was tracking down your last email on FB. A few fundraisers are coming up, and I want to use some of these to tell Miss Victoria’s story. These pictures are priceless. You gave our family a gift. We couldn’t afford this otherwise, without your talented and giving heart. I really DO hope we can find the time in the midst of our busy lives to get together again to visit. You’re a Superhero Mama. I just can’t thank you enough!
Renee, I *love* this series. I so wish I had done something like this for Oli so that he’s have pics to look back on and feel super special. 🙂
Oh my! She is so adorable! Beautiful!
This is such a powerful project! I hope our son will be able to be seen for the amazing little boy he is even as we work through all the struggles his diagnosis presents. Thank you for doing this project; I love it!
And I hope to be able to do a Superhero shoot of your son in the future!
