Every single time I photograph a birth I am in awe of women and very the miracle of life.
Yesterday was no exception as I photographed the birth of a very good friend. Carolynn is a local birth doula and I’ve had the privilege of watching her in action as I have photographed births. This time, I was there as she gave birth to her eighth baby, Wyatt. Wyatt weighed in at an unbelievable 11 pounds 6 ounces!
Congratulations, Carolynn and Sean. Your baby boy is beautiful!
When I saw that last picture, I thought, “Oh my word. Does that say 11 POUNDS???” Wow!
I love all these pictures, but especially the ones where Wyatt is holding onto somebody’s finger. So, so precious. 🙂
Wow! I am in awe of these amazing pictures!! I’ve never seen birth photography before, wonderful job!! congrats Carolyn!!
Love seeing all the YL essential oils!!!

What a gorgeous baby. And despite somebody’s remark that all newborns look like Winston Churchill–and this one sure does, especially that bleary, grumpy look right before the photo in which he’s being weighed–your photos give him individuality: love the one of his fingers. Wonderful pictures!
These are wonderful!! Great job!
So gorgeous! With every picture all I could think was, “I want to be involved with birth work!” So awesome to see a beautiful mamma with such great support having the birth she wants in a hospital setting. Your pictures have always been good. But these seem extra special.
What a strong, beautiful momma…. I myself had a 11 lb, 14 oz boy and I thank the heavens for planned c-sections and modern medicine. I shake in my boots thinking about actually giving birth to him the way it was supposed to be!!
Breath-taking. Love the Bible pics. Those speak volumes. Thanks for your work.
